Coach Jason – Unlock Your Running Potential
What began as a simple love for running in my primary school days has evolved into a lifelong pursuit, and now, a mission to help others reach their full potential. After more than a decade of mentoring and coaching athletes, I officially founded Skill Running in 2020 to bring personalized, results-driven training to runners of all levels.
From my early days as a competitive track and cross-country athlete in high school and university, to running with elite teams in the UK and Hong Kong, I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the finest athletes and coaches in the sport. These experiences helped me develop training methods that are rooted in science, yet flexible enough to suit each runner’s unique needs.
When I shifted my focus to marathons in my late 30s, I discovered what it takes to break through barriers and reach new levels of performance. Now, some 15 marathons later, I’m still chasing finish lines with more fire and knowledge than ever—and I want to help you do the same.
Whether you’re just getting started or aiming for a new personal best, I know what it takes to push beyond limits and transform your running. My coaching is built on proven training principles, tailored to your goals—whether that’s crushing your first race or shaving minutes off your marathon time.
Running has taken me across the world, from the streets of Berlin to the heat of Chicago, where I completed the sixth of the prestigious World Marathon Majors. I know firsthand the dedication it takes to compete at the highest level, and I’m here to help you get there too.
Now in my 50s, I’m still setting new goals—fresh off a 2nd place overall finish in 2:37 at the 2024 Mississauga Marathon—and I believe it’s never too late to reach new heights in the sport. No matter where you are in your journey, I’m here to guide you, offering the expertise and personalized support to unlock your best performance yet.
